In a groundbreaking move, Brandalised is set to release the Flower Bomber digital collectibles, inspired by the iconic works of Banksy, in a unique blind box waitlist format on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 8 AM BST. This launch marks the beginning of a series of Banksy-inspired digital collectibles dropping on VeVe, offering a select few the exclusive chance to own a piece of street art history.
The Flower Bomber collection brings Banksy's legendary graffiti mural to life in 3D digital form. This transformation exemplifies Banksy's characteristic style of subverting traditional riot imagery by replacing a Molotov cocktail with a bouquet of flowers. The series includes four distinct editions: Concrete, Original Color, Street Cleaner, and Patina Bronze.
The Concrete Edition features a matte white finish, reminiscent of the original mural in Beit Sahour. With 1,333 editions available at a list price of $60.00, this rare collectible will be available globally, excluding the U.S., due to licensing restrictions.
This secret rare edition retains the original color scheme of Banksy's artwork, offering a vibrant and thought-provoking collectible. Only 222 editions will be released at the same list price, with secondary market sales available globally.
Both the Street Cleaner and Patina Bronze editions will be available exclusively through a limited edition craft, requiring Master Collector Program (MCP) points. The Street Cleaner Edition, featuring a unique jacket design, will require 250,000 MCP points, while the Patina Bronze Edition, with its mesmerizing shiny finish, will require 1 million MCP points. These ultra-rare and secret rare editions are limited to 333 and 88 copies, respectively.
In a commendable gesture, Brandalised and VeVe will not retain any secondary sales income from these digital collectibles. Instead, a 2.5% secondary fee will be collected and donated to charity. This noble act allows the VeVe community to be part of a larger cause, with the specific charity to be determined based on their feedback.
The digital collectibles will be sold through a waitlist drop system, where participants enter a queue 30 minutes before the drop time. Successful participants will have 7 minutes to complete their purchase. Additionally, collectors can use MCP points to bid on priority waitlist selection, enhancing their chances of securing a collectible reservation.
This release marks a significant collaboration between Brandalised, known for transforming public graffiti into commercial products, and MEDICOM TOY, a Japanese company renowned for its limited edition physical collectibles. Together, they aim to revolutionize the digital collecting world, making this series a highly sought-after addition to any collection.
As Brandalised and VeVe prepare to launch the Flower Bomber digital collectibles, art enthusiasts and collectors alike are eagerly awaiting the opportunity to own these unique pieces. With the added benefit of supporting charitable causes, this release not only celebrates the art of Banksy but also fosters a strong sense of community and philanthropy among the VeVe members.
